I’ve bragged before on Facebook that I’ve had the opportunity to check out Regal Gymnastics Academy’s brand new, under-construction training facility that opens May 1st in Essex, VT, but I want to expand my rave here. Sure, Essex isn’t exactly a stone’s throw to the NEK, but this place must be mentioned here because when it opens next month, it will be a destination for Vermont moms EVERYWHERE. This state-of-the-art training center, featuring gazillions (okay, I’m exaggerating, but it’s H-U-G-E) of square feet, full air conditioning, workout center for parents, yoga/dance studio, organic/whole-foods deli, preschool, gymnastics shop, open gym AND birthday party Castle (say, larger than life!) and Play Village will truly knock your socks off. Though I wouldn’t give up living in the NEK, I would consider taking on a job just to cover gas money needed to bring my kids to this place EVERYDAY when it opens. Can you tell I’m totally psyched? Oh, of course, as far as gymnastics goes (recreational and competitive), Regal totally rocks. For Northeast Kingdom Moms, Regal’s new center will be yet another place to visit as a stand alone day trip to Chittenden County. Regal Gym will also offer drop-off open Gyms and Play Village opportunities for kids, which will certainly come in handy when mom (or dad) wants to shop ’till s/he drops in Burlington!
